May 25, 2020 – "Stillness without Stuckness in Meditation."

In this Focus & Relax, we explore why stillness is useful in meditation? Why do we sit still, in fact? And, importantly, what don't we mean when we talk about stillness? We certainly aren't intending to stiffen the body or try to stop thoughts and emotions. In this session, we use the Alexander Technique to help find a balance between quieting down but not locking down. How can we be quiet and relaxed without being stiff? I help encourage participants to have internal movement and freedom of body and mind.
